We design, build and run systems, clusters, databases and storage.
We develop applications and websites and connect your systems so
that they talk to each other. In the cloud or on your own servers,
mostly with Linux and open source.
Security comes first for us, right from the start, not at the end.
Encryption, authentication and access control come as standard with
what we build.
We have worked on large multi-region applications running across
several data centres. We are just as glad to help schools,
institutions or small companies that are only starting out. We use
AI wherever it makes sense and where it saves time. But we will
vouch for the result.
We are father and son, and we run woc.is as a family IT
business. We bring together 26 years of experience in the field
and the fresh eyes of a new generation.
Jan has worked in the field for 26 years. He started out at
several companies, working on networks and servers. He then
spent eight and a half years at Seznam.cz, the Czech search
engine and web portal, first as a sysadmin and later leading the
team that ran large services such as Lidé.cz, Novinky.cz,
Spolužáci.cz, Sauto.cz, Sbazar.cz, Sreality.cz and the whole
advertising system.
He spent three years as a DevOps and SRE engineer at
vshosting.cz, one of the largest hosting providers in the Czech
Republic. He was in charge of internal operations services:
backups, the mail cluster, databases and containerisation.
For the next three years he looked after the infrastructure of
Showmax, a streaming platform running on rented servers in
Africa, Poland and Germany. High latency to viewers in Africa
made it a real challenge. Part of the services later moved to
AWS. When the company was taken over, he chose smaller teams
over corporate life.
For four years now he has worked with Zerops.io as head of
infrastructure, responsible for its server infrastructure in
four locations.
Tadeáš studies at Smíchovská střední průmyslová škola, a
technical secondary school in Prague, and has spent the past
year working with Zerops.io as a junior DevOps engineer. He runs
services on Linux and Proxmox and orchestrates them with
Ansible. He helped deploy a mesh network infrastructure and
remote access built on WireGuard.
What interests him most is cybersecurity, which he also chose as
his field of study. He works on networks, on securing and
monitoring services, and on finding vulnerabilities and patching
them. He writes his own tools in Go and Python and, with the
help of AI, can design, build and deliver complete solutions.
Our largest current engagement. As head of infrastructure, Jan
is responsible for the cloud platform's server infrastructure
in four locations. Tadeáš looks after internal services and
the network infrastructure.
A complete solution for online poker rooms. We designed a
provably fair card dealing mechanism built on cryptography,
built the website and run the whole thing ourselves.

A calendar and diary for seizures and other health episodes,
built from scratch. We are polishing the last details and plan
to launch within a month.
